Warranty & Returns
Coverage, return authorization and exclusions applying to parts, components and engines supplied by Altitude Parts.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Standard warranty
Altitude Parts warrants that material supplied conforms to the condition code and documentation stated on the invoice at the time of shipment, and that it has clear title free of liens. Unless the invoice states otherwise:
- Serviceable and overhauled rotables: 90 days from date of shipment.
- New / new surplus material: pass-through of any remaining manufacturer warranty.
- As-removed and as-is material: sold without warranty, for inspection or teardown only.
- Engines: warranty is defined individually in the engine sale or exchange agreement.
2. Sole remedy
For a valid warranty claim, Altitude Parts will, at its option, repair, replace or issue a credit for the material. This is Buyer's sole and exclusive remedy. No labor, removal, reinstallation, freight, downtime, aircraft-on-ground or consequential costs are covered.
3. Disclaimer
Except as expressly stated above, Altitude Parts disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Altitude Parts is a distributor, not a manufacturer or certificated repair station.
4. Return authorization (RMA)
No material may be returned without a written RMA number issued by Altitude Parts. Request an RMA by emailing Partsales@altitudeparts.us with the invoice number, part number, serial number and reason for return. Returns must be received within 30 days of RMA issuance, in the original condition and packaging, with all documentation and tags intact.
5. Restocking
Material returned for reasons other than a warranty defect or Altitude Parts error is subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% plus outbound and return freight. Special-order, expedited, cut, modified or overhauled-to-order material is non-returnable.
6. Exchange cores
Exchange cores must be returned within the period stated on the exchange invoice (typically 14 days) in repairable, complete condition with full traceability. Late, incomplete, scrapped or beyond-economic-repair cores are invoiced at the outright price shown on the exchange agreement.
7. Exclusions
Warranty is void where the material has been:
- Installed, operated or maintained contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Disassembled, repaired or altered by a party other than an approved facility.
- Damaged by accident, misuse, contamination, corrosion, foreign object or improper storage.
- Stripped of identification tags, plates or documentation.
8. Freight and damage in transit
Visible shipping damage must be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt and reported to Altitude Parts within 48 hours. Concealed damage must be reported within 15 days of receipt.
